Overview
Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of a comprehensive range of innovative B2B solutions and performance products for financial technology equipment in retail, grocery, banking, e-comm fulfillment, and healthcare.
Position Purpose:
The VP of Marketing is responsible for the development, management and ongoing execution of our marketing efforts, and reports to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Segmentation, Tracking and Planning
- Map out, segment and track market structures, identifying key end users, distributors and competitors
- Identify market opportunities through Voice of the Customer activities
- Track competitive activities from a product, pricing and commercial perspective and develop appropriate strategies as a result of these activities
- Build Brand Awareness and Create Product Pull Through
- Evolve the brand identity and position the business as experts in the field of contamination control
- Build content, then create and execute PR and Digital Campaigns to drive end user awareness and pull through
- Develop a leading position and voice within relevant Trade Associations
- Build content and develop case studies, business cases and testimonials to drive credibility
- Develop user, promotional and training videos to promote to the market place and build adoption
- Route to Market Strategies
- Evolve route to market strategy and structure, building appropriate support materials and plans, then drive discipline into the execution of the plan
- Gain high visibility within the distribution base through partnership and promotional activities. Ensure lead position in catalogues, sales “mind share” and online tools
- Product Management
- Identify market gaps and develop functional specifications
- Define and create product differentiation
- Manage the product life cycle to evolve and improve the product range, while rationalizing where appropriate
- Launch and promote new products to drive early adoption
- Create supporting marketing collateral
- Pricing
- Establish and maintain pricing structures to optimize EBITDA
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Advanced degree, or MBA in Marketing, Business or comparable education/experience
- 10+ years experience in Marketing for a range of differentiated consumable products
- Experience in cleanroom or contamination control markets is preferred, but candidates experience is more important than industry experience
- History of successfully managing products from concept to revenue
- Product based marketing experience with demonstrable experience of defining product needs and building a product portfolio
- Demonstrable experience of growing revenue and market share through the effective use of multiple distribution channels and managing potential channel conflicts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to roll up your sleeves. Act with urgency and communicate with transparency.
