Our Client is an AI CRM platform for automotive dealers. Through omni-channel customer communication, AI-powered digital assistants, automatic information gathering, and personalized marketing automation, our Client helps dealers sell more cars, faster.

We’re looking for a rockstar Senior Director, Automotive Dealership Software Marketing  with deep experience in the automotive industry and a passion for building high-performing marketing machines. Your job will be to serve as a leader on our growing team, build out the marketing function, and prove marketing’s impact through comprehensive reporting. You’ll report to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Leadership & Team Building: You “lead from the front,” and the idea of building out the Client’s marketing department excites you. Over time, you can tap your network of partners, agencies, and automotive marketing professionals with a “prove, then improve” mentality for hiring.
  • Automotive Industry Expertise: You know the automotive dealership software marketing within the SaaS space inside and out, and ideally, you’ve marketed SaaS solutions to dealerships before. You understand dealers’ needs and priorities, keep a pulse on industry and competitor insights, and dive deep into our CRM to grasp the immense value it provides customers.
  • Growth Marketing in a Sales-Led Motion: You know how to partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to amplify what’s working through strategic marketing. You’re comfortable prioritizing across demand generation, product marketing, sales enablement, customer marketing, brand marketing, and other functions.
  • Marketing Reporting: You’ll provide clear, comprehensive visibility into the marketing funnel and ROI from marketing initiatives. You know how to drive marketing ROI in a sales-led organization, understand attribution nuances, and can adjust strategies when things don’t go as planned.
  • Budgeting & Planning: You can build, optimize, and maintain budgets across various marketing initiatives, including conferences, paid media, partnerships, and more. You’re willing to make strategic bets on segments, channels, and creative marketing tactics that drive growth.

Qualifications

  • Expert Automotive Dealership SaaS Marketing: Experience is best measured by results and intensity (not just years), but you should have a strong background in the automotive industry. You should also have meaningful experience driving marketing ROI and developing a team—ideally 10+ years.
  • Data-Driven, Funnel-Focused Thinker: Data may not tell the whole story, but it’s critical for decision-making and budget allocation. You know how to align performance data with different stages of the marketing funnel and collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to measure marketing’s full impact.
  • Rigorous Prioritizer: You’re comfortable working entrepreneurially, prioritizing for impact, and keeping leadership and peers informed on marketing initiatives. You start with “why” and quickly adapt to shifting opportunities in our fast-paced business.
  • Leader & Collaborator: Leadership is a calling for you. You inspire, influence, and collaborate with team members at all levels. You lead by doing, prioritize customer success, and put team goals ahead of individual achievements.
