Marketing Lead, HealthTech Start-up – Boston
The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Marketing Lead to join our HealthTech start-up as their first marketing hire. This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to define and execute our marketing vision, support enterprise sales efforts, and ultimately grow into a Chief Marketing Officer position. Candidates must have healthcare, tele-heath and/or heath-tech experience.
Base salary $175-180k plus bonus.
You will help shape how payers and healthcare organizations — including major insurers like Blue Cross Blue Shield and Kaiser — understand, trust, and adopt our clients services. This role is best suited for a highly motivated, adaptable marketer with a background in digital health and a deep understanding of the payer landscape. The environment is fast-paced, ambitious, and collaborative — ideal for someone who thrives in startup settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead marketing strategy focused on payer partnerships, provider relationships, and enterprise growth.
- Own the Product Marketing function and think strategically about the best way to refine the company’s offering and corresponding go-to-market strategy.
- Build and refine product marketing narratives and materials to support commercial and partnership efforts.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team on sales enablement, thought leadership, brand storytelling, and strategic communications.
- Support press, events, and PR initiatives to grow awareness and trust among stakeholders.
- Create scalable marketing programs to reinforce brand positioning and presence in the digital health space.
- Partner on patient-facing growth marketing initiatives that drive engagement and retention (nice to have).
- Oversee future relationships with agencies and Marketing Partners.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in marketing within digital health, healthcare, or a closely related space.
- Demonstrated experience marketing to payers, health insurers, or health systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience developing sales collateral, messaging, and content strategy.
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, high-velocity startup environment.
Based in Boston or open to relocation; deep familiarity with the local healthcare and payer ecosystem is a strong plus. - Experience in growth marketing and/or patient engagement strategy is a bonus.
