Job Description:

Looking for role where you can have true impact on the emerging video marketing industry? With a team who you run top brand and agency video campaigns utilizing the newest technology and leverage the largest video platforms? Our client is hiring a Director Ad Operations to distribute and manage video ad campaigns, maintain margins and work in partnership with top video platforms like Facebook and YouTube . In this role you will work closely with the sales department, sales engineering team, data science department and accounting department.

You will be launching and overseeing campaigns as well as managing the day-to-day work of campaign managers. To be successful in this position you must have a deep understanding of AdWords, YouTube and Facebook. The ideal candidate will have a flair for data analysis and familiarity with tools and platforms to interpret sometimes complex data in an elegant and explainable way. This role requires creative troubleshooting, comfort with reporting new and emerging technologies, and the ability to clearly communicate and execute campaign recommendations while maintaining acceptable margins.

Responsibilities:

Direct advertising operational efforts to support global digital ad sales across the YouTube and Facebook platforms.

Engage with sales, data science, professional services, product, engineering and marketing to support business strategy, develops operational strategic and tactical support plans for ad sales business development and implementation.

Act as the in house expert for both YouTube and Facebook video campaigns.

Deep understanding of the principles of ad serving, analytics, DSPs/DMPs, media buying, pixel implementation, CPA/ROI optimization, retargeting, mobile and video specific strategies.

Expert knowledge in advanced Ad Operations, educate management on the solutions and implement as required for optimal results.

Work with large data sets in order to proactively identify campaign issues, recommend optimization strategies, craft systems and constantly update best practices for YouTube and Facebook advertising.

Develop and maintain a knowledge base of best practices and standards for campaign setup and management to drive consistency as well as campaign pacing and performance improvements.

Manage to Ad Operations business KPIs including: upholding SLAs for campaign launch, ensuring campaign set up quality and accuracy, while improving campaign performance.

Direct digital spend across all YouTube and Facebook globally.

Provide leadership and oversight for new business development initiatives within Sales and Marketing.

Develop insightful quantitative analysis for reporting and predictive models to support well-informed decision making regarding pricing, inventory and platform KPI’s

Hires, coaches, mentors and leads a team of campaign managers. Leading by example and rolling out scalable systems for the growing team to follow will be a primary focus in the first 6 months.

Establish goals and objectives for team growth and development and facilitates career development conversations.

Work with the data science and sales teams by utilizing the Pixability self-serve platform and working with the data science team to roll out new algorithms to constantly improve campaign performance.

Review sales proposals and IO’s, managing daily support requests from Sales team.

Provide weekly operational reports, including current ad campaign margins, ad revenue, trends within dominant ad platforms.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in: marketing, advertising, communications, economics, engineering, mathematics or statistics.

Minimum of 4 years professional experience in digital media, digital operations, product/project planning and management, sales operations.

Minimum of 4 years in Ad Ops including monitoring and managing the delivery of campaigns, managing ad inventory, and working on ad serving system.

Marketing agency or trading desk experience is a must.

Facebook and AdWords execution experience is a must.

Expert in Excel including pivot tables, and manipulation of large data sets.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to definition and implementation of processes, procedures, policy.

Grace under pressure and a resourceful, can-do attitude – the job requires constant information sharing across departments; professional relationships with all level of personnel are necessary.

Ability to investigate, analyze & solve problems, and clearly communicate results.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ideally comfortable in a consultative, client-facing environment.
