This is a client facing role managing pharmaceutical, cross channel strategy based in content development.  Candidates need to be local to the greater Boston area.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Content Strategist with a proven background in pharmaceutical agency work to join our team in Greater Boston. This key role will drive the development and execution of content strategies that elevate our pharmaceutical clients’ brands and marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have an agency background and experience in developing insightful and impactful content frameworks, strategies, and patient-centered narratives across diverse marketing channels. With strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, they will effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex insights into actionable strategies that resonate with patients, healthcare providers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy Development

  • Lead the creation of content strategies tailored to pharmaceutical clients, leveraging deep industry knowledge to navigate regulatory challenges (e.g., MLR, indications).
  • Design comprehensive content frameworks that support brand, product, and patient experience initiatives, aligning messaging to meet client objectives and target audience needs.
  • Partner with clients to develop omni-channel and multi-channel content plans that consider patient journeys, HCP (healthcare professional) needs, and regulatory constraints.

Insight Generation & Research

  • Uncover strategic insights by conducting qualitative and quantitative research, leveraging proprietary tools and industry sources.
  • Design and facilitate research activities, advising on research approaches and analytics based on project scope.
  • Identify unique opportunities within the pharmaceutical and healthcare landscapes to refine client strategies and inform campaign concepts.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop concise, compelling briefs that translate insights into creative direction, working closely with creative and account teams to ensure alignment.
  • Serve as the strategy lead throughout project engagements, ensuring all touchpoints reflect the strategic intent and deliver on client goals.
  • Facilitate engaging workshops that drive strategic thinking and empower clients to embrace content direction and strategic recommendations.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Partnerships

  • Work collaboratively with strategists, creatives, and cross-functional team members to enhance strategic thinking and idea generation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate design thinking frameworks and methodologies into project approaches.
  • Act as a resource and mentor to junior team members, helping to shape their understanding of the strategic process.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define success metrics (qualitative and quantitative) in collaboration with clients and project teams to ensure clear goals for campaign performance.
  • Provide recommendations for optimization and future enhancements based on post-engagement analytics and performance insights.
  • Support ongoing client needs through contributions to quarterly reviews, trend presentations, and new business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years in a pharmaceutical agency environment with hands-on experience managing pharmaceutical accounts and executing across various marketing channels.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including industry regulations, MLR, and patient-provider dynamics.
  • Strategic & Content Expertise: Proven experience in developing content strategies, omni-channel marketing plans, and patient experience journey maps.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of effective collaboration in fast-paced environments.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a meticulous approach to detail.
