Location: Northern Kansas and/or Hybrid Remote
Summary:
The VP of Marketing, Circulation and Commercial Operations is a marketing strategist, customer insights expert, and circulation analyst all in one. This leader will optimize catalog performance profitability while modernizing digital marketing technologies.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive marketing plans and programs to achieve short-term and long-range sales goals.
- Establish strategic marketing goals for catalog sales to meet corporate objectives, increase market share, and enhance product profitability, while integrating web-based performance marketing campaigns.
- Master and continually optimize the annual circulation plan to ensure continued profitability, including projections of all segments for the coming year.
- Lead customer-focused marketing initiatives, deeply understanding the voice of the customer (VOC) and ensuring a customer-first communications strategy across the organization.
- Fully understand cooperative databases and complex list targeting techniques to enhance customer purchasing and performance.
- Optimize past successful marketing practices to increase revenue across a suite of products.
- Elevate and modernize the company’s tactical and strategic marketing strategy and analysis, driving on and offline product growth via segmentation targeting.
- Develop and execute comprehensive catalog marketing plans, both short and long-term, consistent with market demands and long-term goals.
- Create consistent customer marketing communications for highly segmented audiences, using deep customer transaction behavior analysis to predict and target future purchase behaviors.
- Manage and execute the entire marketing and brand design functions for both on and offline channels, aiming to increase repeat customer purchasing, satisfaction, and retention.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, driving attendance and enhancing the brand footprint among competitors.
- Serve as a player/coach for the marketing team, managing and mentoring three direct reports within digital strategy, analytics, and branding design.
About You:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in multi-channel retail, cataloging, circulation, and web product marketing.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including web advertising, search, mobile, social, email marketing, and analytics.
- High level of business acumen, including financial management.
- Proven ability to consistently motivate the marketing team and organization to meet and exceed goals.
