Player-Coach, B2B + B2C Director of Growth Marketing, Demand Generation | Rapidly Expanding Workplace Services for Healthcare Company
Director of Demand Generation | $190K–$210K + Bonus | San Francisco or Seattle
About the Opportunity
Our client is a rapidly expanding workplace services for healthcare company operating at an approximately $200 million revenue run rate, with a board-backed growth plan to reach $400 million by 2030. The business serves both institutional clients (B2B) — school districts, healthcare facilities, and public health partners — and individual healthcare candidates (B2C) who apply to support assignments nationwide.
This is a newly created seat. Our client is hiring its first true Director of Demand Generation: a player-coach who can build a segmented, full-funnel demand generation engine from the ground up while staying hands-on with campaigns, data, and execution. This is a heavy lift by design — high-growth, build-first, “we can do that, spread your wings” territory for the right operator.
What You’ll Own
- Build and own a highly segmented, multi-channel growth & demand generation engine across both B2B (institutional/client-side) and B2C (candidate/provider-side) audiences.
- Design and execute lead funnel strategy segmented by specialty and by geography across a nationwide branch and client network.
- Own and optimize an approximately $2 million paid media and advertising budget across search, social, programmatic, and job-board channels — improving cost per lead and cost per acquisition.
- Build out Salesforce-based demand gen infrastructure: lead scoring, routing, attribution, and clean handoff to sales and business development.
- Consolidate fragmented data across systems into decision-grade dashboards and reporting for executive leadership.
- Stand up marketing automation, ABM, and lifecycle nurture programs largely from scratch.
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, business development, and operations to align demand generation with client-acquisition and candidate-pipeline goals.
- Build the function with limited team support initially — this role is builder-first: expect to execute campaigns directly, not just direct a team, while also setting long-term strategic foundation.
- Report on and continuously test and optimize funnel performance in support of the company’s growth trajectory from ~$200M to $400M by 2030.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years in demand generation or growth marketing, including 3+ years leading a team or function — B2B, B2C, or dual-audience experience strongly preferred (workplace services, healthcare, marketplace, or services industries a plus).
- Deep, hands-on Salesforce experience — CRM administration, lead and opportunity workflows, campaign tracking, and reporting. This is required, not preferred.
- Fluency across the broader demand gen stack: marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot), paid media platforms, SEO/SEM, and analytics/BI/reporting tools.
- Proven ability to build segmented, multi-audience lead funnels from the ground up inside a high-growth environment.
- Experience managing paid media budgets of $1M+ with a demonstrated track record of improving ROI.
- A builder’s mindset — comfortable operating as both strategist and hands-on operator, willing to build campaigns and pull reports personally, not just direct a team.
- Based in or willing to work from San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.
