The Opportunity
We are partnered with a venture-backed, early-stage B2B company in Boston seeking a hands-on, growth-focused Head of Marketing to join as one of the company’s earliest leadership hires.
This is a builder role, not a maintainer role.
You will work directly with the founding team to shape the company’s go-to-market strategy, build the entire B2B marketing engine from the ground up, and translate the founder’s vision into a compelling, scalable growth story.
The ideal candidate thrives in early-stage environments, embraces ambiguity, and is energized by doing the lift — from strategy to execution — while partnering cross-functionally across product, sales, operations, and leadership.
What You’ll Own

Build and execute the end-to-end B2B marketing and growth strategy from zero

Develop and refine the GTM motion, ICP definition, positioning, and messaging

Translate the founder’s vision into clear, differentiated storytelling across channels

Personally execute across growth marketing, including demand generation, content, lifecycle, performance marketing, and experimentation

Lead a test-and-learn culture with strong analytical rigor and bias toward action

Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Leadership to drive pipeline and revenue impact

Establish early marketing infrastructure, processes, and KPIs that scale with the business

Support VC and investor storytelling, including narrative development, metrics, and growth proof points
Who You Are

A hands-on B2B growth marketer with deep experience building marketing from the ground up

Proven success in early-stage B2B companies (pre-seed, seed, or early Series A)

Comfortable wearing multiple hats and operating without layers or large teams

Deeply aligned with founder-led environments and the commitment they require

Obsessed with storytelling, positioning, and building a compelling narrative that converts

Naturally tenacious, resourceful, and energized by experimentation and iteration

Strong cross-functional collaborator who can influence without hierarchy

Data-driven, but equally creative in how you approach growth and brand building
Experience & Requirements

Prior experience as a Head of Marketing / Growth Leader in an early-stage B2B company

Hands-on ownership of demand generation, growth marketing, messaging, and GTM

Experience working closely with founders and venture capital partners

Strong understanding of B2B SaaS or B2B technology growth motions

Willingness and ability to work on-site in Boston (this role is not remote)
