Head of Growth Marketing – B2B Software Subscriptions

East Coast–Based | Mid-Market & SMB SaaS

Reports to: Founder and CEO
Company: Approximately $10 million in ARR and 80 employees globally
Target Compensation: $275,000–$300,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus
Primary Focus: Global pipeline ownership and continued North American software subscription growth

The Opportunity

Our client is a founder-led, global B2B software subscription company with approximately $10 million in ARR and 80 employees worldwide.

The company brings enterprise-level AI capabilities to mid-market businesses through a subscription-based software platform that helps customers eliminate lost spend, improve operational control and strengthen their supply chains.

They have built a strong foundation and are now ready for the next level of growth, with North America as a major priority.

This is not a company being positioned for a quick sale. There are no plans to sell. The founder and leadership team are here to build—new customers, recurring revenue, stronger renewals, deeper retention and long-term category leadership.

We are looking for a Head of Growth Marketing who has already done this work inside a subscription-based B2B software business. Someone who understands mid-market and SMB buyers, knows how to create qualified demand and is comfortable working in a smaller, high-growth, high-intensity company where strategy and execution live very close together.

This is a high-energy role for a marketing leader who wants to make an impact now and help build what comes next.

The Mandate

Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, this executive will serve as the single point of ownership for global marketing-generated pipeline and continued software subscription growth.

The Head of Growth Marketing will bring ABM, demand generation, performance marketing, field marketing and the SDR organization together as one connected growth engine.

Working closely with the VP of Sales and BDR/SDR team, this person will own the full funnel: brand awareness, inbound demand, qualified pipeline, new subscriptions, renewals, retention and expansion.

This is a smart lift for someone who has built or materially improved an inbound demand generation engine. We need a leader who can see what is missing, build the plan, get into the work and continually optimize performance.

What You Will Own

  • Build and lead the company’s global growth marketing strategy, with a strong focus on accelerating software subscription growth across the U.S. and North America.
  • Own marketing-generated pipeline from first touch through qualification, conversion, subscription, renewal, retention and account expansion.
  • Create a more predictable flow of qualified mid-market and SMB software buyers.
  • Bring ABM, demand generation, performance marketing, field marketing and SDR together under one clear strategy, operating model and set of goals.
  • Work directly with the Founder and CEO, VP of Sales and BDR/SDR team to align marketing activity with pipeline, ARR and revenue targets.
  • Build, improve and scale the company’s inbound demand generation engine.
  • Develop integrated programs across PPC, paid media, SEO, AEO, content, email, retargeting, website conversion, field marketing and account-based marketing.
  • Improve lead quality, funnel conversion, pipeline coverage, pipeline velocity, customer acquisition cost and marketing ROI.
  • Build lifecycle programs that support onboarding, product adoption, software subscription renewals, retention and expansion.
  • Increase U.S. brand recognition and clearly communicate the value of the company’s AI-powered software ecosystem to mid-market leaders.
  • Lead the transformation of the corporate website into a true pipeline-driving asset.
  • Improve website messaging, buyer journeys, conversion paths, demo requests, SEO, AEO visibility, lead capture and attribution.
  • Identify and implement practical AI and automation opportunities across targeting, personalization, campaign execution, lead scoring, reporting and team productivity.
  • Evaluate the current marketing technology stack and determine what should be improved, replaced or added.
  • Establish clear reporting across CPL, CAC, ARR, pipeline coverage, funnel conversion, velocity, renewals, retention, customer lifetime value and ROI.
  • Build the people, processes and operating structure needed to support both near-term revenue goals and long-term company growth.

Who We Are Looking For

Candidates must have meaningful leadership experience within a subscription-based B2B software or SaaS company selling to mid-market and SMB customers. This background is central to the search.

The right person should bring:

  • 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience across growth marketing, demand generation, ABM, performance marketing and field marketing.
  • A strong record of building qualified pipeline, new software subscriptions and recurring revenue within B2B SaaS or subscription-based software.
  • Direct experience marketing software platforms or solutions to mid-market and SMB buyers.
  • Experience working inside a smaller, high-growth, high-intensity business where leaders are expected to think, build and execute.
  • A clear understanding of subscription economics, including ARR, CAC, renewals, retention, expansion and customer lifetime value.
  • Experience building, repairing or significantly improving an inbound demand generation engine.
  • Full-funnel experience across awareness, acquisition, evaluation, conversion, onboarding, adoption, renewal, retention and expansion.
  • Strong working knowledge of PPC, SEO, AEO, paid media, content, conversion optimization, email marketing, automation and attribution.
  • Experience aligning Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and BDR/SDR teams around shared pipeline and recurring-revenue goals.
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort using CPL, CAC, ARR, pipeline coverage, conversion, velocity, retention, LTV and ROI to guide decisions.
  • Practical experience using AI and automation to improve performance, speed, personalization and efficiency.
  • Experience turning a corporate website into a measurable source of qualified software subscription opportunities.
  • The confidence and communication skills to work directly with a founder, CEO and senior leadership team.
  • Global marketing experience combined with a record of building commercial growth and brand recognition in North America.

The Person

We are looking for someone who brings energy, urgency, accountability and sound judgment.

This person must be strategic without being removed from the work. They should enjoy building and improving, not simply managing what is already in place.

The right candidate knows that software subscription growth is not just lead generation. It means attracting the right customers, converting them efficiently, supporting adoption, protecting renewals and building long-term customer value.

They will be comfortable in a founder-led environment where ideas move quickly, expectations are high and results matter. They will bring structure without slowing the business down and balance today’s pipeline goals with the work required to build a durable growth engine.

This is for someone who wants a seat close to the business and the opportunity to help shape its future—not simply fill a marketing position.

What Success Looks Like

  • A more predictable and scalable global pipeline engine.
  • Stronger inbound demand and better-qualified software subscription opportunities.
  • Increased subscription growth across mid-market and SMB customer segments.
  • Improved alignment among Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and the SDR organization.
  • Greater U.S. brand recognition and category visibility.
  • Stronger software subscription renewals, retention, expansion and customer lifetime value.
  • A corporate website that contributes directly to qualified pipeline and recurring revenue.
  • Clear accountability across CPL, CAC, ARR, pipeline coverage, velocity, conversion, retention, LTV and ROI.
  • Smart, practical use of AI and automation throughout the growth organization.
  • A durable growth foundation capable of taking the business well beyond its current $10 million in ARR.
