Website MarketSearch Executive Search

Location: East Coast–based
Reports to: Founder and CEO
Compensation: $275,000–$300,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus
Company: Approximately $10 million in ARR and 80 employees globally

Company Overview

Our client is a founder-led, global B2B software company bringing enterprise-level AI capabilities to mid-market businesses.

Through its subscription-based software platform, the company helps customers eliminate lost spend, improve operational control and strengthen their supply chains.

The business has grown to approximately $10 million in ARR with 80 employees globally. The foundation is in place, and the company is now focused on accelerating its growth across North America.

This is not a business being positioned for a quick sale. There are no plans to sell. The founder and leadership team are committed to building the company for both immediate performance and long-term growth.

Position Summary

Our client is looking for an East Coast-based Head of Growth Marketing to own global pipeline generation and help accelerate software subscription growth across North America.

Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, this executive will lead the company’s full-funnel growth marketing strategy. The role brings ABM, demand generation, performance marketing, field marketing and the SDR organization together under one clear growth plan.

This person will work closely with the VP of Sales and BDR/SDR team to increase qualified pipeline, new software subscriptions, recurring revenue, renewals and retention.

This is a hands-on leadership role inside a smaller, high-growth and high-intensity company. We need someone who can set the strategy, build the infrastructure and stay close enough to the work to make sure it delivers.

The right candidate will have direct experience building and optimizing inbound demand generation for a subscription-based B2B SaaS company serving mid-market and SMB customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the company’s global marketing-generated pipeline, with a strong focus on continued growth across the U.S. and North America.
  • Build and manage a full-funnel growth strategy covering awareness, acquisition, pipeline generation, conversion, new subscriptions, renewals, retention and expansion.
  • Bring ABM, demand generation, performance marketing, field marketing and SDR together as one integrated growth engine.
  • Work directly with the Founder and CEO, VP of Sales and BDR/SDR team to establish shared pipeline, ARR and revenue targets.
  • Build, improve and scale the company’s inbound demand generation programs.
  • Develop integrated marketing programs across PPC, paid media, SEO, AEO, content, email, retargeting, field marketing and account-based marketing.
  • Create a predictable flow of qualified mid-market and SMB software buyers.
  • Improve lead quality, funnel conversion, pipeline coverage, pipeline velocity, customer acquisition cost and marketing ROI.
  • Build lifecycle marketing programs that support customer onboarding, product adoption, subscription renewals, retention and account expansion.
  • Increase brand awareness and category recognition across the U.S. market.
  • Clearly communicate the value of the company’s AI-powered software platform to mid-market decision-makers.
  • Lead the continued development of the corporate website as a meaningful pipeline-generating asset.
  • Improve website positioning, messaging, buyer journeys, conversion paths, demo requests, SEO, AEO visibility, lead capture and attribution.
  • Identify and implement practical AI and automation opportunities across audience targeting, personalization, campaign execution, lead scoring, reporting and team productivity.
  • Review the current marketing technology stack and determine what needs to be improved, replaced or added.
  • Establish clear reporting across CPL, CAC, ARR, pipeline coverage, funnel conversion, pipeline velocity, renewals, retention, customer lifetime value and ROI.
  • Build the team, processes and operating structure needed to support both near-term revenue goals and long-term company growth.

Required Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive marketing experience across growth marketing, demand generation, ABM, performance marketing and field marketing.
  • Senior-level marketing leadership experience within a subscription-based B2B software or SaaS company.
  • Direct experience marketing software platforms or solutions to mid-market and SMB customers.
  • A demonstrated record of building qualified pipeline, new subscriptions and recurring revenue.
  • Experience working inside a smaller, high-growth and high-intensity company where senior leaders are expected to both develop strategy and execute.
  • Experience building, repairing or significantly improving an inbound demand generation engine.
  • A strong understanding of the complete software subscription lifecycle, including acquisition, conversion, onboarding, adoption, renewal, retention and expansion.
  • A working understanding of subscription economics, including ARR, CAC, renewals, retention, expansion and customer lifetime value.
  • Strong experience across PPC, paid media, SEO, AEO, content marketing, email, conversion optimization, marketing automation and attribution.
  • Experience aligning Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and BDR/SDR teams around shared pipeline and recurring-revenue goals.
  • Experience using CPL, CAC, ARR, pipeline coverage, conversion, velocity, retention, LTV and ROI to guide marketing decisions.
  • Practical experience using AI and automation to improve marketing performance, personalization, speed and efficiency.
  • Experience turning a corporate website into a measurable source of qualified software subscription opportunities.
  • Experience leading global marketing programs while building commercial growth and brand recognition in North America.

Leadership Profile

The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with a founder and senior leadership team.

This person should bring energy, urgency, accountability and sound judgment. They must be strategic without becoming removed from the work.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building and improving, not simply managing an established marketing organization. The right candidate will know how to bring structure without slowing the company down.

They will also understand that software subscription growth goes well beyond lead generation. It requires attracting the right customers, converting them efficiently, supporting adoption, protecting renewals and creating long-term customer value.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to work close to the business, make a visible impact and help shape the company’s next stage of growth.

Measures of Success

Success in this position will include:

  • A more predictable and scalable global pipeline engine.
  • Increased software subscription growth across mid-market and SMB customers.
  • Stronger inbound demand and better-qualified opportunities.
  • Improved alignment across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and SDR.
  • Greater U.S. brand awareness and category recognition.
  • Improved subscription renewals, retention and account expansion.
  • A corporate website that contributes directly to qualified pipeline.
  • Clear performance measurement across CPL, CAC, ARR, pipeline coverage, velocity, conversion, retention, LTV and ROI.
  • Meaningful use of AI and automation throughout the growth organization.
  • A growth foundation capable of taking the business well beyond its current $10 million in ARR.
